A spectacular holiday-themed bus wrap featuring Mariah Carey for Nordstrom’s flagship store promotion in NYC.
Nordstrom was launching a major holiday campaign for their flagship store in New York City, featuring Mariah Carey as the face of the festive season. The campaign needed a physical, mobile presence that could match the star power of the partnership and cut through the intense advertising clutter that blankets Manhattan every holiday season.
The bus wrap had to capture the luxury and warmth of Nordstrom’s brand identity while incorporating Mariah Carey’s persona in a way that felt glamorous, festive, and unmistakably holiday. New York City during November and December is one of the most competitive advertising environments in the world, with every major retailer fighting for attention from shoppers and tourists.
The design needed to perform from every angle as the bus traveled through Fifth Avenue, Times Square, and past the Nordstrom flagship location. The production timeline was locked to the holiday shopping season, with the bus required on the road before Black Friday weekend.
Bus Wrap Inc. partnered with Nordstrom’s creative team to deliver a show-stopping holiday bus wrap that brought the Mariah Carey campaign from digital screens onto the streets of Manhattan.
Creative Layout:
We developed a full exterior bus wrap featuring Mariah Carey alongside Nordstrom’s holiday branding. The design used a rich palette of gold, white, and deep red with sparkling holiday lights, elegant typography, and snowflake accents that evoked luxury gift-giving and festive warmth. Every panel was composed to tell a visual story of holiday glamour.
Print Production:
High-resolution printing on premium vinyl delivered rich gold tones, sharp photographic detail of Mariah Carey’s imagery, and vivid reds that maintained their depth in both daylight and evening streetlight conditions. The surface finish was selected for high visual impact in the unique lighting conditions of holiday Manhattan.
Installation:
Full bus wrap with precision alignment completed ahead of the holiday shopping launch. The bus was delivered wrapped, detailed, and deployed on routes covering Fifth Avenue, Times Square, and the Nordstrom flagship store entrance before the start of the peak retail season.
Holiday retail visibility – the wrapped bus traveled through NYC’s premier shopping corridors during the peak holiday season, generating tens of thousands of daily impressions from shoppers, commuters, and tourists.
